16-18 September 2015 - Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) Cross-Program Workshop on Interactions between Biological and Environmental Processes in the Antarctic.
14-18 September 2015 - The 3rd CLIOTOP Symposium is being held in San Sebastian, Spain. The theme is 'Future of oceanic animals in a changing ocean'. Find out more about this symposium.
13-17 July 2015 - The XII International Symposium on Antarctic Earth Science was held in Goa, India. ISAES is a SCAR initiative aimed at showcasing Antarctic geoscience research. Find out more about this symposium.
15-17 June 2015 - ESSAS (Ecosystem Studies of Sub-Arctic Seas) Symposium on the Role of Ice in the Sea. Find out more about this symposium.
8-10 June 2015 - The 2015 IMBER SSC meeting was held in Santa Cruz, USA.
1-4 April 2015 - Polar Educators International, Hannover, Germany. This international workshop focussed on Polar Education and Outreach and brought together polar scientists and educators from across the globe . Find out more about this workshop.
23-27 March 2015 - Third International Symposium on the Effects of Climate Change on the World's Oceans, Santos, Brazil. This symposium provided opportunities for the international science community to bring the latest information, understanding and assessment of the impacts of climate change on our oceans. - 2014 -

25-28 August 2014 - SCAR Open Science Conference, Auckland, New Zealand. The conference brought together all areas of Antarctic research. Global messages of change and how these are likely to affect the rest of the world were presented. ICED jointly hosted a session with AnT-ERA and AntClim21 entitled "Impact of climate change on Antarctic biota". Other sessions of interest included "Antarctic contributions to global ecosystem services and to a general understanding of ecosystem functioning", "Ocean Acidification", and "Scientific Advice for Policymakers". 4-9 August 2014 - ClimEco4 IMBER Summer School, Shanghai, China. The IMBER ClimEco4 summer school provided training to enable participants to source, analyse, and transform data into indicators to assess the ecological state of a marine ecosystem, environmental states and trends, implications for society, and long-term ecosystem sustainability. 30 June-4 July 2014 - AMEMR IV, Plymouth, UK. The symposium explored and identified the contemporary challenges facing the marine modelling community, as well as providing a platform on which to showcase the latest advancements. Find out more about this conference.
23-27 June 2014 - IMBER Open Science Conference: Future Oceans, Bergen, Norway. This meeting provided a synthesis of a range of topics related to marine biogeochemical cycles, ecosystem response to global change, and prediction of the effects on the Earth System and human society. ICED hosted a session entitled "Detecting, projecting and managing the impacts of change in Southern Ocean ecosystems". Another session of interest was "End-to-end modelling for research and management". Find out more about this conference.

29 May 2013 - Thematic Workshop in Brussels on: Polar Marine Ecosystems Research: Strategic directions for the EU Research Area.
28-31 January 2013 - IMBER IMBIZO III, Goa, India. The objective of IMBIZO III was to explore the linkages and interactions between humans and marine systems to create understanding of the possible futures of the interrelated ecological and biogeochemical systems in the continental margins and in the open ocean and their societal implications. 26-28 November 2012 - EUR-OCEANS Consortium Flagship: Polar Ecosystem Change and Synthesis (PECS) Workshop, AWI, Germany.
24-27 September 2012 - Third Symposium on the Ocean in a High-CO2 World, Monterey, California, USA. This symposium discussed the impacts of ocean acidification on marine organisms, ecosystems, biogeochemical cycles and socio-economic consequences. Find out more about this conference.
16-25 July 2012 - XXXII SCAR Open Science Conference, Portland, Oregon, USA. The conference focused on SCAR science and providing advice to policy makers. Plenary sessions focused on the themes of Antarctic Conservation Challenges in a Century of Change, Past, Present and Future Climate Evolution, and Evolution and Biodiversity in Antarctica and were followed by the normal parallel sessions.
