Structure

ICED was developed in conjunction with the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) and the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP). Initially ICED was directed jointly by IMBER and GLOBEC, but since GLOBEC ended in 2009, ICED now sits entirely within IMBER as its Southern Ocean regional programme. ICED led and coordinated international research in partnership with the Southern Ocean System of the European Network of Excellence for Ocean Ecosystems Analysis (EUR-OCEANS) and is now an active member of the EUR-OCEANS Consortium. The International Polar Year (IPY) consortia: ICED-IPY provided an ideal launchpad for the programme - View Key Linkages.
